Beginning of October 2025, three Ossabaw pigs from the DTU European Ossabaw facility were MR scanned in DTU's 3T MR scanner. The MR scanner can accomodate large animals (and humans) and is part of the Translational Imaging Center (TIC) at DTU. These particular pigs were scanned as part of the OssaFlu project (PI: Kerstin Skovgaard, DTU Bioengineering) to measure body composition (lean vs. fat mass). The scanning was organized and overseen by Mathilde Hauge Lerche, DTU Health Tech (pictured).
